This product works! / Laura, WA8/26/2008 I''m glad I waited a bit before rating this product. The problems I was having (hair breakage, hair pulling, etc.) were definitely due to user error. I''ve had nothing but great results since I''ve learned how to use this product properly. I''d say the main mistake I was making was squeezing down on the iron while straigtening. A light touch is the key, especially when it comes to avoiding breakage and hair pulling. I also use a gloss or serum to protect my hair before I use the iron.
Wasn''t Good For Me / , FL8/14/2008 I have thick hair and it just didn''t work for me. It is heavy, the steam burns you badly if you are not truly careful, and the comb like on the side of the iron pulls your hair and breaks it off. Not a good product. My $50 Revlon works better. Save your money.
Yeah great but on TV only… / , MN7/30/2008 I have thick curly frizzy hair and I have been straightening my hair for over 18 years and this MAXIglideXP was not a good idea. I really tried to make it work but it pulls and breaks your hair… it doesn’t work like it the TV Shows. It’s hard to handle and it is heavy. It is a real torture. Save your money. Don’t buy this…

BUY THIS ITEM! / Christina, MO7/21/2008 I received my first Maxiglide for Christmas 3 years ago. I''d seen the item on television several times but it seemed expensive for yet another straightener than MAY or MAY NOT work on my hair. I have extremely long, thick, curly hair and have been fighting it for years. I tried to straighten my hair chemically and over the years accumulated a collection of straighteners that failed to do what they promised. This item is all it says and MORE! I wore the thing out and just ordered my second one!
