At last, a Good Hair Day!!!! / Vanessa, TX8/28/2008 After i got this iron, i thought it would be like most of the other irons in this price range. I own three but i was looking for something that could actually curl my hair. I was skeptical at first because of the review that states that extreme high heat makes it work but my other irons get so hot, that one of them made a whole in my furniture and have already burned my neck, I was so surprised that even though it reaches a temperature of about 385 degrees, it is steady and doesnt overheat.

I own a 2 inch Rusk Straighten iron which is great when I had longer hair but now that I''ve cut my hair shorter, the 2 inch iron is very difficult to use. The GHD heats up very quickly and cools down just as fast when you turn it off. It straightens my hair well with ease and leaves my hair silky soft. I''ve tried other irons while I was in the actual Sephora store and came to a conclusion that this one is really the best.
A little pricey -- but a good iron6/5/2008 This iron really gets hot, which is why it does such a great job of leaving my fine, very curly hair straight and silky. I can''t get the hair crimping method down at all so I''ll just use this just to straighten. Found this exact iron on other internet sites for approximately $269 with no extras, so overall this was a good buy.
Expensive, but I''m worth it! / , FL6/4/2008 I debated buying this because of the price, but my old iron was such a beast that I hated using it. I absolutely love this one, though--it''s super lightweight, heats instantly, and gives me beautiful results. I haven''t tried any of the special effects on the DVD, but the tips for drying and straightening were helpful. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five--you can probably find a comparable item for less without the bag, sprays, DVD, etc., but I''m very happy with this product.
